LSA and friends
As I continue to move in to my new apartment, I constantly think, “I should be working on my presentation in Chicago in a few weeks.”
This leads me to wonder, what’s going on in the linguablog world in Chicago?

I just made my reservations today, and I’m planning to make the “hey, why don’t we have a get-together” announcement shortly. Assuming I can, you know, rip myself away from my hectic schedule of not posting often enough.
From the preliminary schedule, the bloggers I recognized were Eric Bakovic, Claire Bowern, you, and (I seem to recall) Heidi Harley. I’m glad to hear The Tensor will be there, and I’m hoping some other bloggers will be, too. I want to look at the ADS schedule (if one is posted somewhere) to see if a get-together can be scheduled without conflicting with any WOTY stuff.
Indeed - it looks like the WOTY stuff is happening at around 5pm on Thursday and Friday, with a reception following on Friday. Well, it certainly leaves Saturday and Sunday open.
Also, the original LSA schedule had an error. I in fact do not have a paper at the LSA, just at SSILA.
