I've found relaxing on a few of my sensitive points ("I wish I was/were") a difficult but ultimately gratifying experience. It's still difficult each time, but now I don't get looks from people. =)

I read about the "nauseous/nauseated" distinction in Strunk & White's The Elements of Style when I was 12, and have since been acutely conscious of it. As a teenager I was rather officious at correctly people's use, but I am a bit more relaxed about it now, as I just think how pretentious "I feel nauseous" sounds. Despite this, I still think I am a nice person. :-)
